Lawrence Paquette

RICHFORD - Lawrence "Larry" Paquette, age 79, passed away on Monday, May 27th at his home in Richford.

Larry was born on June 17, 1944 in Berkshire to the late Henry and Margaret (Durenleau) Paquette.

He was a man of many passions and pursuits. An avid outdoorsman, he found immense joy in hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the thrill of gambling, dealing in scrap metal, and spent many hours cheering on his favorite sports team, the New England Patriots, and following exciting NASCAR races. He was a proud veteran and member of the American Legion.

On July 3, 1965, Larry married the love of his life, forming a bond that would withstand the test of time. Together, they built a life full of love and cherished memories. For several decades, Larry dedicated his professional life to Blue Seal Feed, where he worked diligently until his well-earned retirement in 2005. Earlier in life, he worked for the E.R. Buck Chair Company in Massachusetts, and the Whitcomb & Demers families.

Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Madeleine (Coutu) Paquette of Richford; their children, Dennis Paquette and his wife Sandra, Joanne Garrow and her husband Edmund, and Kimberly Wetherby and her husband Travis; his grandchildren, Benjamin Garrow and his wife Jordan Leamy, Mitchell Garrow and his fiancé Abby Baldwin, Austin Paquette, Nikita Lasher and her husband Jeremiah, Trent Wetherby, and Joseph Paquette; great grandchildren, Miles Lasher, Jack Garrow, and Millie Lasher; his siblings, Simone Jacobs and her husband Dennis, Raymond Paquette and his wife Janet, Richard Paquette and his wife Stella, Rose Paquette, and Edward Paquette and his wife Terry; and several nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will be invited to Larry's Life Celebration events on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 to include visitation from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main Street, Richford, VT. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Richford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Larry's memory may be made to the Enosburg American Legion, 108 Depot Street, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450.
