Louis Choiniere

SWANTON - Louis Joseph Choiniere 54 of St. Albans passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday morning March 15th.

He was born on August 24,1969 in St. Albans to Robert and Pauline (Rainville) Choiniere. He was the youngest of 13 siblings.

Louis just turned 6 years old when our father died. Joseph Lussier became our stepfather shortly after. He attended St. Albans town schools and graduated from BFA in 1987.

Louis in his earlier years enjoyed having quality time with his siblings and cousins, who loved and supported him throughout his life. Uncle Joe and his children: Cheryl, Jason and Heidi were especially close. He spent many enjoyable times with them and others who he became close friends with during his life.

During his years of sobriety, he enjoyed reading his Bible and grew to Love the Lord. Louis attended area Christian churches and gave his life to Jesus Christ.

Alongside our mother he assisted in the work and growth of what was known to be the "Clothes Barn" on the Brigham Road in St. Albans. During this time they became very close. He also worked various other jobs, including IBM for several years.

Louis is survived by his siblings, Leon (CA), Blanche (AL), Frances (PA), Robert (ME), Helene (QC), Norma (WA), Philip (MA), Paul (unknown), and Camille (VT), as well as his aunts, uncles, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Louis was predeceased by, his parents, Robert and Pauline Choiniere, his brother Dollard, sister Irene, brother Donat, brother- in-law Philip Choiniere-Shields, nephew Laurent Choiniere-Shields, and nephew Matthew Caddell. Louis will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to Louis' life celebration events to include, a visitation on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 2-3:00 PM with a memorial service following at 3:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488.
