Mary L. Gamache

SHELDON - Mary L. Gamache, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

She was born in St. Albans on January 3, 1947 to the late Harvey & Catherine (Martin) Blow.

Mary enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a hard worker and retired from Macys department store. Her favorite hobbies included being outside, mowing her lawn, and working in her flower gardens. Mary lived for her children and grandchildren, they truly meant the world to her. She also had a very strong faith. She was an active member of the Highgate Methodist Church.

Mary is survived by her husband, John T. Gamache of Sheldon; her daughter, Billie Jean Smith of South Barre; her beloved granddaughters, Marinda & Harper Spaulding; siblings, David Blow and his wife Nancy of Winooski, James Blow and his wife Jodi of Wittmann, AZ, Jone Oliver of Glendale, AZ, and Janet Bissonette and her husband Steve of Ferrisburg; mother-in-law, Suzanne Gamache of Burlington; siblings-in-law, Richard Gamache Jr. and his wife Susan of Burlington, Michael Gamache and his wife Mary of New Hampshire, Beth Nutter Gamache of Burlington, Denise Shangraw and her husband Allen of Milton, and Timothy Gamache and his wife Carla of South Carolina; and many nieces & nephews, especially Karen & Jessica. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Kayla Smith; her siblings, Kenneth Blow, Raymond Blow, and Joyce Gamache; father-in-law, Richard Gamache Sr.; and brother-in-law, George Gamache.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Highgate Methodist Church, Route 78, Highgate Center, VT.
