FRANKLIN - Matthew "Matt" James Longe began his life in St. Albans, Vermont on March 11, 1980 and left this world on September 4, 2025 in Burlington VT.
Following in his father's footsteps Matt was a 5th generation farmer. Matt held many positions over the years with him ending his career in Property Management. Matt had a green thumb and could grow about anything. Matt loved to tinker and "fix" things. Often taking things apart to just be able to put it back together again. Matt loved the outdoors. When he wasn't working you could find him kayaking, fishing, and camping and just about anything else if invited although sometimes he would just tag along anyway especially if smores were involved.
Matt's biggest joy and proudest accomplishment that he had in his life was becoming dad to his little girl Maddy (Madalyn Rose). Matt was a very proud and protective uncle to his nieces, Olivia, Eliza and Elizabeth and nephew, Ryan.
Matt is survived by his very large and loving family. Matt leaves behind his wife, Morgan Longe and their daughter Madalyn Rose Longe; parents, Ronnie and Caroline Longe; his sisters, Anita Howard, Yvonne Howard and her significant other Lenny Lurvey, and Jennifer Longe O'Leary and her husband William (Billy) O'Leary; nieces, Olivia, Eliza, and Elizabeth and nephew, Ryan. As well as his immediate family Matt leaves behind countless family members who will miss him tremendously.
Matthew was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Janette and Maurice Sharlow and paternal grandparents, Billy and Beatrice Longe; aunt, Marjolaine Longe; uncle, David Chaffee; and most recently his cousin, Joey Longe.
