Maynard Carroll Rogers III

February 1, 1953 — June 7, 2026

SWANTON - Maynard C. Rogers III, age 73, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Burlington Health & Rehab.

He was born February 1, 1953 in St. Albans to Laurette (Roussin) Rogers and the late Maynard Rogers Jr.

Maynard was a life-long resident of the area and a 1972 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School. After high school he began working at Fonda Container and stayed there until its closure in 2006. His strong work ethic was a testament to his character, along with his pride in serving in the National Guard during his younger years. Maynard was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in the tranquility of nature, especially during deer hunting. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and his ATV.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Rogers; their son, Steven Rogers and his wife Jessica; granddaughter, Cate Rogers; his mother, Laurette Rogers; siblings, Ronald Rogers and his wife Cheryl, Teresa Urban and her husband Bill, Richard Rogers and his wife Penny, and Jennie Boudreau and her husband Ronald; siblings-in-law, Jacques Rainville, Eileen Gadue and her husband Raymond, Roy Hazard and his wife Ann, Mary Bushey and her husband R. Mark, Richard Hazard and his wife Nancy, Patty Newton and her significant other John Rushlow, Anne Bressette and her husband Orland, and Cathy Chase; close friend, Chris Leroux and many nieces & nephews. Maynard was predeceased by his father, Maynard Rogers Jr.; his sister, Jean Rainville; and his brother-in-law, Dan Hazard Sr.

In keeping with Maynard's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
