In 1978, Arl and Nancy relocated to Shelburne, VT and Nancy began work at UVM. Her employment at UVM enabled her children to attend UVM tuition free, and she was very proud of that. Nancy retired from UVM and she and Arl moved to South Hero. Nancy and Arl wintered in Phoenix, AZ for many years. They welcomed many family and friends fleeing the cold of Vermont.
Nancy adored her family dogs, and cats. Nancy was a genuinely kind person, and will be remembered as a wonderful Mother. Nancy loved her family dearly, and was a person of deep faith. She was born and raised an Episcopalian, and retained her affiliation until she passed. Nancy became an affiliate member of the Methodist Church when she married Arl. Of course, everything was made from scratch. Nancy was an expert in canning and freezing the bounty of Arls fabulous garden crops.
