Peter Irish

Peter Chapman Irish, born July 20, 1955, the third of four children to June Chapman Irish and Philip (Murph) Irish, raised in Enosburg Falls, residing in Franklin County and later DeLeon Springs, FL after retiring as a skilled mechanic and welder.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, younger sister, Sara Irish Johnson and infant granddaughter, Natalie Grace Irish. He leaves many great friends including Roger Demers, Morris Mulherron, brother-in-law, Pat Johnson, Mark “Blue” McDermott, Mike Choquette, Carole Carpenter, Wendy Deaette and his “second favorite daughter” Liz Yindra Howe, siblings: Barb (Barbara) Irish Paradee, husband, Doug; and James (Jim) Irish and wife, Mary, niece, Amity and sons, Zachary and Tyler, nephews Matt Irish; Cory Johnson, partner, Lea Burns; and Michael and Jeannae Irish and daughters, Kinley and Quinn.

On the day he became a father, 43 years earlier, December 29, his family was by his side as he drew his last breath. Pete’s loss will be mourned greatly by his family: Levi Irish, fiancé, David McConathy, granddaughters, Elliot and Harper of Hamilton, Montana; his sons; Ben (Benjamin) Irish, wife Amy, grandson, Isaac, granddaughters, Alice and Ruby of Enosburg Falls; twin sons, Sam (Samuel) Irish, wife, Bethany, granddaughters, Charlotte, Isabelle and Penelope, of Fairfield and Jake (Jacob) Irish, wife Ashli, grandson, Kolby and granddaughter, Madison of Berkshire.

Per his long standing wishes, there will be private sendoffs “Up North”, creating one last Pete story no one will talk about, unless you’re lucky. For information contact his children.

When asked for a cookie, Grampa/Papa Pete would always give two, saying, “one for each hand”, because of that, December 29^th will be celebrated as a day of “one for each hand”. Instead of flowers, his wish would be that you sit too long with those you love, making mischief, and being sure their hearts and hands overflow.
