Peter M. Morin

HIGHGATE SPRINGS— Peter M. Morin, age 28, passed away due to a tragic accident on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Swanton.

He was born in St. Albans on February 10, 1993 to Darlene (Gagne) Morin and Michael Morin.

Peter grew up in East Highgate, attended Highgate Elementary School and graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School. After graduation, he began roofing in North Hero and then for Bannister Roofing and quickly found he had a knack for hard work. He was an impatient dreamer and understood that it would take good old fashioned elbow grease to get what he wanted, which even meant working two jobs at times. He most recently worked for Ben & Jerry's and had been accepted into the maintenance program, a feat he was very proud of. When Peter wasn't working, he looked forward to fishing, spending time with family, or drawing: he was an incredible artist and found art as an outlet to express himself deeply. Peter was loved and will be remembered for his caring and honest personality.

He is survived by his mother, Darlene Morin and her significant other, Brad Jarvais of Highgate Springs; father, Michael Morin and his wife Darlene Cross of Deland, FL; grandmother, Laurianne Gagne of Highgate; aunts and uncles; Roland Gagne & Shirley Matrow of FL, Linda & Allen Gagne of Highgate, Janice & Paul LaFlame of Boissier City, LA, Russell & Darlene Gagne of Highgate, Michael & Brenda Gagne of Highgate, Gordy & Shelly Gagne of Highgate, Scott Gagne of Highgate, Tom & Linda Daniel of Essex, Marc & Beverly Dupuis of Swanton, Richard & Ophelia Morin of Lake Helen, FL, David & Ann Morin of Bristol, TN, and Claude Morin of Orange City, FL; many cousins and friends who will miss him endlessly. Peter was predeceased by his grandparents, Lionel Gagne, Romuald "Pete" & Laura Marie (Larouche) Morin.

Friends and family are invited to Peter's Life Celebration on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 to include visitation from 3:00-5:00PM with a funeral service at 5:00PM at The Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. Interment will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00AM in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Swanton.
