Philip C. Boudreau

December 3, 1928 — July 9, 2020

FRANKLIN - Philip C. Boudreau, age 91, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

He was born on December 3, 1928 in Highgate to the late Frank & Gladys (Greenwood) Boudreau.

In his younger years, Philip worked as a farmer and bridge builder, but most of his life was spent as a truck driver. He started with Wirthmore Feeds and then worked for Agway. He married Pauline (Jette) on June 12, 1948 and they raised four children together. They were married for 66 years. After retiring in 1990, Philip & Pauline spent their winters in Summerfield, FL and their summers at Fairfield Pond. Philip loved when his family would come and visit in Florida. He would take them to the best restaurants, Golden Coral, he would find them the best deals, the flea market, and he would find the quickest route there, never the most direct! Pauline passed away in 2014 and since then Philip lived at the Carriage House in Franklin. He spent many days sitting on the park bench in Franklin watching and waving to the cars that passed. His favorite hobbies included boating, camping, carpentry, going on joy rides, and most importantly, spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren.

Philip is survived by four sons, James Boudreau and his significant other Annette of Franklin, David Boudreau and his wife Donna of Georgia, Ronald Boudreau and his wife Jennie of Sheldon and Ricky Boudreau and his significant other Kristie of Swanton; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, Matt Boudreau and his wife Amber and their children, Olivia and Paisley; Jessica Machia and her husband Greg and their children, Dustin, Javen, and Alex; Brent Boudreau and his wife Kim and their children, Kaley, Brody and Macie; Hilary Fraties and her husband Travis and their children, Gavin, Grace and Gabrielle; Tyrell Boudreau and his children, Emmett and Finley; Chelsea Delorme and her husband Tyler and their children, Beau, Kash, and Wells; and Kyle Boudreau; his soon to be first great great grandchild, Avery; brothers-in-law, Paul Vantilborgh of Cowansville, Quebec, and Edmund Jette of Jacksonville;AR; special friend, Marlene Williams; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Philip was predeceased by his wife, Pauline Boudreau; his sisters, Evelyn Boudreau, and Matilda Vantilborgh; and siblings-in-law, Beverly Jette, Rosemary Stanley and her husband H. Bruce, Madeline McDermott and her husband Stanley Buzz ; and James Miller.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Stacy Silloway and the Carriage House staff and also to Lynn Dodd with Franklin County Home Health for the care they provided Philip.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Albans. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
