RICHFORD - Rachel L. Davis, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born in Richford on May 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Giles and Leila (Fletcher) Fletcher.
Rachel was a lifelong resident of Richford and graduated from Richford High School in 1954. She was incredibly active in her community and was a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Womens Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Rachel loved to cook, bake, garden, can, play cards, listen to country music but above all, she was a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Lee and her husband Raymond of Richford; sister, Mary Donna of Richford; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Rachel was predeceased by her husband Russell Davis; son, Mark Davis; daughter, Cathy Davis; brother, Herschel Fletcher; and sisters, Marjorie Lagrow and her husband Gerald, Audrey Hanson and her husband Robert, and Bea Benjamin and her husband Bruce; and brother-in-law, Herschel Donna.
Rachels family would like to express their appreciation to the Franklin County Health & Rehab staff for the care she received throughout her stay.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT, 05450. Interment will be held in the spring in the Richford Center Cemetery.
