MONTGOMERY / BARTON - Ralph Watson Bub Levis, age 91, passed away Friday evening May 30, 2008 at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton.
He was born May 20, 1917 in Montgomery the son of the late Carmi & Eva (Hoyt) Levis
Ralph was a resident of Montgomery most of his life and for the past several years has made his home at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton. Ralph was a lifelong farmer and sugarmaker. He enjoyed spending time outdoors haying, logging with his father, splitting wood, gardening, and walking. He also enjoyed helping his sisters and mother canning vegetables. His other interests were listening to country and gospel music and watching TV.
He is survived by his brothers, Carmi Levis Jr of St. Albans, and Clinton Levis of Sheldon; a sister, Ida Levis of St. Albans; and his friends at the Maple Lane Nursing Home. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Hilda Levis, Helen Levis, Hallie (Levis) Grant, and Beverly Levis; brother, Raymond Levis; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Grant.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon June 4, 2008 at 2:00 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will follow in the Montgomery Center Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
