Rayburn Donna

RICHFORD - Rayburn R. Donna, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Rayburn was born in Montgomery on September 24, 1930, the son of Wallace and Hildred (Comings) Donna. Rayburn spent the first 11 years of his life in Montgomery, and then a year in Sheldon, and he finally settled in Berkshire for the next 43 years.

In 1951 Rayburn married the former Charlene C. Clark of Sheldon and Enosburg, and in 1953 together they bought the so-called Ladd Farm, and in 1964 they purchased the Ralf Olmstead farm across the road.

This is where they raised their children. Richard R, who passed away in 1968 at the age of 16, Kevin B. Donna, Mark, and Laurie.

Rayburn's wife Charlene passed in 1984, shortly after this in 1986 Rayburn sold the farm and moved to Richford. He started doing carpentry work and after a short time at Sweat & Comings Furniture Plant, he drove school bus for 20 years. In 1988 Rayburn married the former Shirley (LaMonda) Lumbra.

Rayburn leaves behind his children, Kevin Donna and his wife Bonnie of Berkshire, Mark Donna and his wife Tina, Laurie Gervais and her husband Larry of Enosburg; sister, Athalie Whitt; grandchildren, Kevin Donna jr., Kim Donna, Nicole Wetherby, and Brittney Zahn; great grandchildren, Riley Donna, Justica, Alexis Donna, Evan Donna, Harley Donna, Charlie Zahn, and Wyatt Zahn; great great granddaughter, Wrenlee Donna; step children, Linda Mercy and her husband Arnold, Cindy Lowell and her husband Don, Tammy Reinholdt, Dede Sylvester and her husband Kevin, and Sue Paquette and her husband Gabe; sisters-in-law, Mary Donna, Annette Dulude and husband Clement, Alma Dulude, Lauren Young and husband, Bob, and Joyce LaMonda, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rayburn was predeceased by his parents, his son Richard, first wife Charlene, second wife, Shirley; brother Herschel; brothers-in-law, Bernard Clark, Marcel Dulude and Eric Cota and his wife Jo, John Whitt and David LaMonda; sister-in-law, Betty Clark.

Friends and family are invited to Rayburn's life celebration to include a visitation on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 from 12-2:00PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00PM at the Goss -Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450. Interment will follow in Berkshire Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rayburns memory may be made to Berkshire Center Cemetery, 2503 Duffy Hill Road, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450.
