August 7, 1939 — May 4, 2024

SHELDON - Raymond René Pigeon, 84, residing in Sheldon, Vermont, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on May 4th, 2024.

Raymond, born on August 7th, 1939 in Westford, Vermont. He was the son of the late Emile and Dorilla (Stanislas) Pigeon.

Raymond married the love of his life, Claudette (Mongeau) Pigeon on September 15th, 1962 at Église Saint-André in Acton Vale, Quebec, Canada. Raymond and Claudette built a beautiful life together working side by side, through thick and thin their love never waivered. They created a legacy that included four beautiful children, eighteen grandchildren, and a growing list of great grandchildren. Raymond was an entrepreneur, renovating and owning apartment houses. Farming was his calling and his passion. He grew up farming with his family, went on to own his own farm, and later farmed with his son. Demonstrating his true caregiver spirit, he and Claudette owned the C&R Residential Care home, where they spent many years providing a home for the elderly who became family. Raymond was a member of the Lions Club. Above all else, Raymond was a family man that valued his faith. There was nothing he wouldn't do for the ones he loved, including being a listening ear to anyone who needed it. He was willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Beyond their busy lifestyle, Raymond and Claudette found time to enjoy each other. They enjoyed family gatherings, live music, square dancing, and Allard Brothers dances.
