SWANTON - Robert "Bobby" Ives, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on January 18th, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 30th, 1957, in St. Albans VT, to Betty (Silk) Ives and the late Robert Ives.
Bobby loved hunting and fishing and tinkering with engines to get them running. Bobby worked at Plumrose Inc. in Swanton VT, for 25 years as a meat packager. Bobby was a man of simple pleasures. He found immense joy in gardening, nurturing his plants with love and care, and spent countless afternoons enjoying snacks and laughter with his grandson, Ryder.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Betty Ives; children, Jesse Ives and his significant other Samantha Russell, Justin Ives, Jayla Pion and her husband Ian, and Jenna Ives; sisters, Debbie Roberts and her husband Wendell, and Brenda Sheets and her husband John; aunts, Carol Brow (Swanton), and Sylvia Ives (of Florida); his very special grandson, Ryder and another grandson on the way; and former mother-in-law, Sandra Armstrong. In addition to his father, Bobby was predeceased by his significant other, Terry Blair.
In respecting Bobby's wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of life.
