Ronald Hoague Sr.

SWANTON - Ronald G. Hoague Sr., age 76, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

He was born August 18, 1947 in Swanton to the late George Sr. & Glendora (Levick) Hoague.

Ron was known for his expertise in the concrete industry, owning and operating R & J Quality Concrete. His commitment to his craft was evident in every project he undertook, always ensuring the highest level of quality and precision.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ron possessed a talent for woodworking. The artistry in his hands could transform raw materials into beautiful creations. He took great joy in using his skills to craft cabinets and furniture, which he generously gifted to his family, making their homes more beautiful and filled with memories of his craftsmanship.

Ron's dedication and craftsmanship were not confined to his passions. As a husband and father, he poured his heart into his beloved family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Caroline (Bisco) Hoague; their children, Lori Olds and her husband Lee of Highgate Springs, Karen Biczko of Clearwater, FL, Jeffrey Hoague and his wife Sheila of Highgate Springs, Ronald Hoague Jr. and his wife Maureen of Essex, and John Hoague of Highgate Springs; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; his sister, Arlene LeClair of Richford; sister-in-law, Ella Hoague of Panton; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his brothers, Guy Hoague, and George Hoague Jr.; and a brother-in-law, George LeClair.

Friends & family are invited to Ron's life celebration to include visitation on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 7-9:00 PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT.
