R. Jeanette "Jan" Fournier

SWANTON - Ruth Jeanette "Jan" (Engendorf) Fournier, age 88, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT.

She was born on August 25, 1936 in Canton, Missouri to Walter and Ruth (Lillard) Engendorf. She married Maurice "Mike" Fournier January 1, 1983 and he passed on March 2, 2022.

Jan attended Culver Stockton College and went on to have a successful career working for DeLaval Corporation and spent the last years of her career with Bourbeau International in Vermont. Jan and Mike traveled many places across the country as well as internationally.

She enjoyed watching and cheering on the Boston Red Sox baseball and Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadians hockey teams.

She is survived by her twin sister Janet James of Ohio, niece Judith Vogt of AZ and nephew John James of MO. Jan was predeceased by her husband Maurice "Mike" Fournier, parents, Walter and Ruth Engendorf and other family members.

Friends and Family are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery, 65 Canada Street, Swanton, VT.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Franklin County Rehab Center in St. Albans, VT and Wendy Campbell, neighbor and dear friend.
