ST. ALBANS - It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ryan Christoph Bell, who left us too soon.
Ryan was born on November 13, 2002, to his loving parents, Sean and Karen Bell.
Ryan was a remarkable young man, known for his sense of humor and unwavering determination. Ryan attended St. Albans Town School and then BFA St. Albans before graduating in 2021. He embarked on a journey to Florida to pursue his degree in psychology, with aspirations of making a difference in the medical field.
Life took an unexpected turn when Ryan was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago. Struggling with the challenges it brought, Ryan returned home from college. During this difficult transition, he discovered solace and strength in the simple act of gardening.
Ryan's passion shifted from the medical field to the world of agriculture when he became an integral part of the "Down to Earth Community Garden" in St. Albans. This was a prominent part of caring for his mental health and he also valued his interactions with his mentors there.
Inspired by the successes at "Down to Earth," Ryan eagerly sought out additional knowledge and experience by volunteering at the Intervale Community Farm in Burlington. Ryan's future plan was to have a farm of his own.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Sean and Karen Bell; siblings, Preston Bell and his wife Holli, and Kristen Bell and significant other, Jesse; niece, Briella; and nephew, Beckham; grandparents, Jay and Janet Warthen; feline companions, Jester and Gifty; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to Ryan's life celebration events to include a visitation on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, from 1-2:00 PM with a memorial service following at 2:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488.
