SHELDON (RICE HILL) - Sandra K. Brown, age 50, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington with her loving family at her side.
She was born in St. Albans on May 29, 1961 the daughter of Iris Pelkey and the late Carl T. Benneig.
Sandra was a 1979 graduate of BFA St. Albans. She held many jobs including working as a waitress in many area restaurants, Administrative Assistant at Lucille Farms, Factory Worker at Ben & Jerrys and most recently Assistant Manager at Peebles Dept. Store in St. Albans. She enjoyed doing crafts, going to craft shows, painting, shopping and traveling. She especially loved the companionship of her Dachshunds, Lola & Athena.
She is survived by her sons, Dayton Brown Jr. and his friend Heather French, Ryan Brown and his friend Krystal Kelley; and their father, Dayton Brown Sr. all of Franklin; her mother, Iris Jones and her friend Richard Peters of St. Albans; brother, David Benneig of Rice Hill; sister, Terry Benneig of Newport; half-brother, Jamie Benneig of Williston; half-sister, Stacy Jeffery of Colorado Springs, CO; sister-in-law, Eileen Benneig of Rice Hill; several nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Tom Tatro. Besides her father, Sandra was predeceased by her brother, Gary Fuzz Benneig; and sister, Patricia Bostic.
Funeral services will be held Sunday January 8, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Jason McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Rice Hill Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the funeral.
