Shawn Creller

SOUTH HERO - Shawn Creller, age 64, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on May 22nd, 2024.

Shawn was born on June 16th, 1959. He was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Beverly (Prime) Creller.

Shawn was a proud Army veteran who dedicated his life to the automotive industry as a Master Mechanic working many years for Bouchard Brothers Auto and Couture's Auto. Shawn had a passion for cooking and bringing baked goods to friends. Shawn's involvement in the American Legion Post #60, and the Alburgh select board showcased his commitment to his community.

His boisterous belly laughs and love for family gatherings, hunting, fishing, and playing pool brought joy to all who knew him. His warm presence at family BBQ's will be dearly missed by all.

Shawn is survived by his companion Doris Brownell and his former spouse Jill Aldridge Creller; his children, Jesse Creller and Shawn Mumley; stepdaughters, Misty and Allison; Doris's children, Paige, Morgan, and Frankie; his grandchildren, Jaedyn, Aurea, step-grandchildren, Isaac, and Maddie; and great grandson Jayce; siblings, Donna (Jean-Paul) LaRocque, Beverlee (Joe) Poquette, Kathy Cheney, Beth Dutton & Alan, Gene (Lynn) Creller, Dana (Teri) Creller, Beau (Roxanne) Creller; uncles, Warner (Cora) Prime, and Merrill (Sue) Prime, and one of his good friends Ralph Tatro, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Shawn was predeceased by his parents, Robert Sr. and Beverly; and his brothers Robert Jr. Creller and his wife Diane, James Creller, Jon Creller and his brother in law Marcus Cheney.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Mark Pitcher, Shawn's hunting buddy, for all his loving care. Shawn will send the deer gods his way.

Family and friends are invited to Shawn's life celebration events to include a graveside service with military honors on Friday, May 31st at 11:00 AM at the Alburgh Center Cemetery, Center Cemetery Road, Alburgh. A reception will follow at the American Legion in Alburgh. A celebration of life for Shawn will be held on June 16th, 2024, from 12-4:00 PM at 124 Quarry Road, North Hero.
