RICHFORD - Sheila M. Laroche, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 at her home in Richford surrounded by her loving family.

Sheila was born on February 12th, 1947 to the late Lester & Margery (Grout) Keith.

Sheila lived a life characterized by love, laughter, and resilience. She was a devoted homemaker who found immense joy in caring for her family. She was the heart of her household, guiding her children and grandchildren with wisdom and humor. Sheila possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with her family; her children and grandchildren knew they could turn to her for support and guidance on any topic. Her talent for quick comebacks and her infectious laughter filled the room, making family gatherings vibrant and memorable.

Known for her exceptional cooking skills, Sheila delighted in hosting family gatherings, where her culinary creations and warm hospitality brought everyone together. Christmas was her favorite time of year, a season she embraced with enthusiasm and a spirit that brought joy to all who knew her.

Sheila is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Elie Laroche; children, Michelle Tatro and her husband Steven, Nancyann Laroche, and Amy McGrath; grandchildren, Steven Tatro and his significant other Brittany Vilburn, Kaylee Kittell and her husband Blaine, Dylan Laroche and his significant other Jenyca Chapman, Daniel Laroche and his significant other Kaitlin Gibney, and Elie Moody; great grandchildren, Victoria Bowen, Layne Kittell, Jaxen Tatro, Ryder Kittell, Hazel Kittell, Leona Chapman, Oakley Laroche, Waylon Vilburn, and Izadora Laroche; siblings, Evelyn Searles and her husband Dennis, Sally Jourdan and her husband Jerry, and Bonnie Severance and her husband Ellis; siblings-in-law, Germain Laroche and his wife Jane, Laurette Sweetser, Denise Juarie and her husband Ronald, Celine Thompson Stone, Francine Charbonneau and her husband Lionel, Charlotte Laroche, and Ruth Laroche; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sheila was predeceased by her son-in-law, Brian McGrath; and siblings-in-law, Dolore Laroche and his wife Barbara, Rosemaire St. Pierre and her husband Rene, Gilles Laroche, Allan Laroche, and David Thompson.

Friends and family are invited to Sheila's life celebration on Friday, August 15, 2025 to include visitation from 10-12:00 PM followed with a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will be held at the family's convenience in Richford Center Cemetery. Please wear bright colors instead of black to honor her vibrant spirit.
