Steven "Stevie" Blanchard
May 28, 1949 — September 8, 2019
ALBURGH - Steven Stevie R. Blanchard, age 70, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born in Montgomery on May 28, 1949 to the late William E. & Augusta (Peters) Blanchard.
Stevie was a hard-working farmer. He spent many years working on the Carpenter and Gervais farms in Enosburg. Stevie was a light-hearted jokester and he loved to pick. He loved visiting local convenience stores in the morning for coffee and to visit and catch up on the local gossip. Stevie loved to wheel and deal and always appreciated a good lawn sale. He will be remembered by his family for his love of wrestling. Stevie and Bernice shared a special cat, Brat face that will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Bohannon) Blanchard; sister, Pauline Sweet; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Stevie was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Blanchard; brothers, Roland and Larry Blanchard; and sisters, Beatrice Spencer and Barbara Gerrow.
A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Egypt Cemetery, Egypt Rd., East Fairfield.
