BERKSHIRE - Steven R. Sweetser, age 70, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his home in Berkshire.
He was born December 30, 1954 in Burlington to the late Harold & Cecile (Longley) Sweetser.
Steven lived a life dedicated to hard work, family, and craftsmanship. He will be remembered not only for his role as a talented fabricator at Leader Evaporator but also for his 26 years of dedicated service in the Army National Guard. Whether he was disassembling and reassembling complex machinery or meticulously restoring his beloved 1969 Chevelle, Steven approached every task with a perfectionist's eye and a craftsman's heart.
A passionate lover of all mechanical things, he enjoyed cars, tractors, and motorcycles. His love for maple sugaring was evident in the syrup he produced and the equipment he expertly crafted during his time with Leader Evaporator. Above all, Steven was a devoted family man and a social butterfly. He cherished the moments spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Steven's legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the countless lives he enriched. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his generosity, and steadfast dedication to family and friends.
