Thomas Rivers

ENOSBURG FALLS - Thomas R. Rivers, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Enosburg Falls.

He was born June 18, 1958 in St. Albans to the late Richard "Pete" & Frances "Fran" (Lumbra) Rivers.

Tom grew up in Enosburg Falls where he graduated from Enosburg Falls High School. After high school, Tom served in the United States Air Force. His career took many fascinating paths, but his time working in food and beverage were his favorite roles.

He was passionate about cars, and this passion showed early on as he built model cars. His love for cars translated into a career as a car detailer for Champlain Chevrolet. Beyond his work, Tom had a wonderfully curious mind. He harbored an unwavering belief in the existence of aliens and often found himself lost in the captivating world of UFO stories.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Shelby Rivers and her significant other Cailagh Barton; his good friends, Ron & Dina Carey; and several extended family members. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Pete & Fran Rivers.

In keeping with Tom's wishes, there will be no public services for him.
