FRANKLIN - Travis Jette, age 33, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 22, 1992 in Burlington to Andrew Jette and the late Catherine (Machia) Jette.
Travis lived life on his own terms, fueled by a passion for all things that roar and rev. With diesel running through his veins, he embraced every adventure life had to offer, whether he was tearing up the trails on his ATV, gliding through the snow on his snowmobile, or bonding with friends over his cherished Chevy Silverado - or any other modification he was working on. He could never leave anything "stock".
He was a proud graduate of Ohio Technical School, where he earned his associate's degree and multiple certifications, including his BMW certification. His talent and dedication shone during his time at The Automaster and Vermont Sports Car, where he worked as a technician and shared his love of engines with everyone around him.
Travis was a lover of the outdoors. Riding his ATV through the woods, his snowmobile over the trails, or hunting, his spirit thrived when he was outside. He was also dedicated to the art of Taekwondo and earned his 3rd degree black belt. Travis married his high school sweetheart, Brittney, on March 2, 2024, and their story was a testament to their unbreakable bond. He will be remembered not just for his love of engines, but for the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. He lived with passion and adventure, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Travis is survived by his wife, Brittney (White) Jette; his father, Andrew Jette and his wife Penny; sisters, Mariah Jette, Megan Jette, and Morgan Jette; niece, Mila Bessette; in-laws, Jamie & Randi White and Brittney's extended family; step-brothers, Adam Shedrick, and Alex Shedrick; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Jeremy Machia; and many close friends, especially Kaleb Mayhew, Jeff Ryan, and Andrew Maat. Travis was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Jette; and his grandparents. He had a special bond with his Mémère, Gilberte Jette; and Grandpa, Earl Machia.
Friends & family are invited to Travis' life celebration on Thursday, May 21, 2026 to include visitation from 5-7:00 PM followed with a funeral service at 7:00 PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT.
