Virginia "Rose" Failing

RICHFORD - Virginia E. Rose Failing, age 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2019 with her loving family by her side at her home in Richford.

She was born in Hartford, CT on August 19, 1956 to the late George & Virginia (Bonor) Stanhope.

Rose was a devoted mother, Nana, and friend. She enjoyed spending every moment she could with her family, especially her grandbabies . She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, knitting & crocheting, cooking, assembling puzzles, bingo, and going to the casino.

She is survived by her two sons, Jason Failing and his significant other Jennifer Lavalley of St. Albans, and Bryan Tatro and his wife Jessica of Essex; grandchildren, Lakenna, Dominic, Derek, Noah, and Ezra; siblings, Jeanette Elwood and her husband Chris of Hollywood, GA, George Stanhope and his wife Rosette of Green Cove Springs, FL, Donald Stanhope and his wife Cindy of Richford, Alfred Zenisky and his wife Linda of Berkshire, David Stanhope of Berkshire, Linda Stanhope of Waycross, GA, Debbie Tolley and her husband Tom of Waycross, GA, Tammy Baisley and her significant other Mark Blue McDermott of Enosburg Falls, and Penny Minshew and her husband Donald of Homerville, GA; and many nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Robert Failing; her brother, Robert Stanhope; sister, Shirley Stanhope; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Stanhope.

A funeral service will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in Richford Center Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday at Spears Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the hour of Roses service.
