BROWNVILLE, ME / RICHFORD, VT - Walter D. Fuller, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab Center.
He was born in Dunkin, Quebec, Canada on October 27, 1927 to the late Loren & Belle (Searles) Fuller.
Walter grew up in Dunkin, Quebec and married Ardis (Gatley) on April 15, 1950. In 1959, they moved to Brownville, Maine and Walter worked in the logging business. He drove log truck, and he operated and repaired heavy machinery. Walter loved spending time outdoors, especially pontoon boat rides on Bear Pond, and riding the back woods roads and observing wildlife. He had a great sense of humor and most of importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. Walter lived in Brownville until recently, he moved to Richford, Vermont in April of 2018 to live with his daughter.
He is survived by his daughters, Dianne McAllister and her husband Richard of Richford, and Darlene Burdin and her husband Carl of The Villages, FL; four granddaughters, including twin sisters, Heather Barto and her husband Gene of Penacook, NH, and Heidi Phillips and her husband Shawn of Franklin, Amanda Steinhour and her husband Travis of Richford, and Allison McAllister and her partner Chris Perry of Enosburg; seven great grandchildren, including twin sisters, Hannah & Haylee Salter, Carson Steinhour, Olivia Barto, Blake Barto, Grace Perry, and Hayden Perry; his brother, Bruce Fuller and his wife Sharon of Franklin; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by his wife, Ardis Fuller; and his siblings, Lyle Shag Fuller, Lloyd Pug Fuller, Josephine Boyce, Beverly Mercy, and Melba Ryea.
In keeping with Walters wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
